Google has made it clear that it wishes to integrate Gemini deeply into everyone’s lives. This sentiment is supported by lines of unfinished code obtained by Android Authority.
The unfinished code reveals that there are at least six new extensions in the works, which isn't too surprising given Google's intention to integrate Gemini with its services.
Gemini's extensions are similar to those on Chrome, expanding the user experience. Gemini is already connected with half a dozen extensions, ranging from Google Flights to YouTube Music.
Essentially, Gemini is working towards gathering the entirety of a user’s data via their activity on Google’s services, from where it can streamline tasks.
Gemini AI's upcoming features
Most noteworthy among the extensions is Google Home. The Home service would replace Google Assistant, giving Gemini direct control over smart home devices, although the extent of this integration is not yet known.

Google Assistant has also taken a back seat on the mobile front, being cut out as the middleman when managing calls. Gemini would now take over that role, processing more casual language and fluid commands thanks to its advanced capabilities.
The remainder of the extensions were announced at this year’s Google I/O. Apps like Calendar, Keep, and Tasks are all in a good position to be integrated with Gemini, creating a more intimate and vivid experience.
This level of integration would allow Gemini to manage schedules, complete tasks, and automate much more of a user’s life.
Google hasn’t announced the release date, although one is expected shortly. Google has been hard at work with Gemini this year; the generative AI has received a string of upgrades, perhaps in a heated altercation with AI rivals or simply a desire to outdo itself.
