If you can recall the Google I/O held back in May, you must be aware of how Google boasted some Gemini tricks.

Some of those Gemini features have been released, some remain in limbo, and others are not even in sight.

However, as part of another remarkable feature addition, Gemini is now becoming common for letting users ditch the traditional trait of opening it in separate windows, appearing in the form of floating panels within the app and eliminating the need to get out of a particular app.

Gemini's "Ask about this video" on YouTube

Gemini's "Ask about this screen" feature has started releasing on YouTube, serving as a floating in-app Gemini button which stays on the screen to assist users in extracting the context of a video they may be watching.

As was showcased at Google I/O, the "Ask about this screen" feature possesses the same set of contextual abilities but the feature is launching on YouTube with a different name: "Ask about this video."

The Gemini feature on YouTube allows users to voice their queries regarding whatever is on the screen.

Upon first invoke, the tool appears right above the floating Gemini panel. For instance, if you call it over a news article, it can be enquired for stuff like "What is this article about," or opt for a casual manner of interrogating by saying: "TL;DR this," and get a nice and precise summary of the article.
