Google has discreetly released its latest flagship artificial intelligence (AI) model, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental.

The launch of Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental comes at a time when the Chinese AI startup DeepSeek is making waves with its impressive performance in the tech industry.

However, instead of a grand unveiling, the Alphabet-owned company made this announcement through a changelog update for its Gemini chatbot app.

Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental

The new AI model Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental comes as a successor to the Gemini 1.5 Pro model, which was launched in February 2024.

This AI model promises "better factuality" and "stronger performance" for coding and mathematics-related tasks.

According to Google, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental is developed to help users tackle complex tasks with ease and accuracy.

Currently, the model is available to Gemini Advanced users, who can access it through the Google One AI Premium paid plan or the Gemini for Google Workspace add-ons.

That said, Google also noted that Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental is still in its early preview and might make mistakes.

On the sidelines, Google also made the Gemini 2.0 Flash model available to all users through the Gemini app.
