Following the tech giant Google's big-scale tout regarding its in-house generative AI tools Gemini and Google AI, enthusiasts have eagerly been on the lookout for the endorsed capabilities of the said GenAI tools.

Google Gemini: Zoom Enhance for Pixel 8 Pro
One of the features highlighted at the end of Made by Google 2023 is Zoom Enhance, a feature which “intelligently fills in the gaps between pixels and predicts fine details."

The feature gets its job done with the help of a custom generative AI image model, meant specifically for instances when you forget to zoom, Google claimed.
At the end of 2023 in October, Google hinted at its nearing rollout window, but even after the stable public release of three Pixel Feature Drops, it hasn't been made available.
New Google Gemini feature coming on Pixel 9
However, Google remained vague as to specify the Geminin model it's eyeing for the Zoom Enhance feature. Moreover, the highest possibility of this tool debuting is with the upcoming Google Pixel 9 series or with the Gemini Nano with Multimodality.
If incorporated into the impending Pixel 9 lineup, it is said to ultimately be the device's headline feature.
