Google Search has introduced a new built-in game called Block Breaker, adding to its collection of fun and interactive tools. Inspired by the classic Atari Breakout, this game challenges players to break coloured blocks using a paddle and ball.
The new Block Breaker game fits perfectly into this collection, providing a nostalgic nod to retro gaming while introducing a unique way to make your leisure worth it.
How to play Google Block Breaker game?
To play, simply search “Block Breaker” on Google. A game card will appear, and tapping “Play” will open the fullscreen mode. The game features four rows of coloured blocks in Google’s signature blue, red, yellow, and green.
Some blocks are tougher to break, while others release power-ups like extra balls, a longer paddle, TNT, and dual blasters inspired by Space Invaders. Players start with three lives, but they can earn more as they progress.
The gameplay is simple: on mobile, you can move the paddle by swiping or tapping, while on desktops, the left and right arrow keys control movement. Players advance through levels as new rows of blocks appear after each round.
Notably, the game also tracks your score at the top of the screen. Sound effects are muted by default but can be enabled.
Google has added Block Breaker to its growing list of built-in games, which also includes Tic-Tac-Toe, Solitaire, Snake, PAC-MAN, and Minesweeper. The game is available on desktop, mobile web, and the Google app for Android and iOS.
