Following its exit from the beta version at the Google I/O, Google Gemini is apparently being endorsed on Google Messages.

As reported by 9to5Google, the Google Messages app was seen featuring a double floating actions button (FAB) design.

In what appears to be an undisguised attempt at promotion, the "Start chat" button on the app is now accompanied by a slightly smaller FAB for Gemini just above it.

The square seems a little out of alignment when the rectangle button is used. However, scrolling makes the misaligned look visually fine.

A similar user interface has long existed inside Google Drive, as the "New" FAB is coupled with a scan shortcut. However, the camera disappears upon scrolling.

The mini FAB works fine to trigger Google Gemini for unbothered, consistent access to the generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool, which seems to be powered by Gemini 1.0 Pro as well as configured to ensure accurate responses.

It should be noted that this Gemini FAB in Google Messages is, at the moment, available only for select beta users.

However, a Gemini icon in the future might be visible in the top-right corner of Gmail on Android/iOS for accessing the Q&A feature, while the sparkle icon would allow users to open the side panel on the desktop web.
