
Following months of headline grabs after the standard Pixel 9 series' debut, the Pixel 9a has been officially announced by Google, featuring the biggest battery on a Pixel phone ever.
The tech giant in its official blog post stated that the much-awaited, latest Pixel 9 trim will go on sale at a starting price of $499 in April 2025.

Being the budget-friendly variant of the Pixel 9 lineup, the Pixel 9a retains the same design based on a flat glass front, aluminium frame, and a durable polycarbonate back.
The latest Pixel 9 phone boasts a 6.3-inch pOLED display, which is complemented with 2424 x 1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The all-new Pixel 9a is equipped with Google’s Tensor G4 chipset and Titan M2 security chip, and the inclusion of 8GB RAM and storage configurations of 128GB or 256GB mark an extra mile delivering top-notch performance.
The handset runs on Android 15 wherein Google has promised seven years of OS and security updates.
As mentioned above, the Pixel 9a comes with a 5,100mAh battery, the biggest ever on a Pixel phone, ensuring non-stop extended usage of up to 30 hours of usage.

Under the hood, a 48MP f/1.7 lens is behind the rear camera setup, taking a big photographic leap with Quad PD Dual Pixel AF and OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens, all apart from the 13MP selfie shooter.
It's worth mentioning that the Pixel 9a will debut in four tantalising shades including Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony.
