Gemini is currently gearing up to launch the latest Gemini model, which will utilise users' search history for enhanced personalisation. This model is named “Gemini with Personal Context" or simply "Personalisation" in the model selector located at the top of the screen on the web version.
The upcoming Gemini model seems to be an opt-in, ensuring "personalised help based on your Google Search history." According to the Alphabet-owned Google, this latest iteration of the company's proprietary AI chatbot will be connected to users' search history once enabled.
While using the model, users can disconnect it from their history at any point in time, despite it offering improved accuracy depending on their search history.
The utility of the remarkable AI tool can be gauged from its capability of integrating search history into responses to more general queries. Its access to your history shows it must “know” you better and can perfectly tailor the responses in line with your preferences.
However, it remains undisclosed how Google will position this model once it goes live, which is scheduled to take place in the near future.
