In a fresh move to make Hajj 2025 affordable for those willing, the government of Pakistan has announced relief for pilgrims going to perform Hajj this year.

According to The News, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain said the cost of Hajj packages in 2025 has been dropped by up to Rs50,000 under the Government’s Regular Scheme.

In addition to providing relief to the pilgrims of Hajj 2025, the government will also grant refunds to last year's pilgrims, with the amounts ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs140,000.

New cost of Hajj 2025 in Pakistan

While addressing a presser, Hussain announced a massive reduction in the cost of Hajj 2025 in Pakistan. The price of a 40-day Hajj package has been slashed by Rs25,000, bringing the total cost down to Rs1,050,000.

Meanwhile, the cost of the short Hajj package, 25 days long, has been fixed at Rs1,100,000 after a Rs50,000 slash.

Pilgrims opting for the long Hajj package will need to pay a third installment of Rs450,000 after the initial deposits, whereas those choosing the 25-day package will be required to pay a third installment of Rs500,000, in addition to the Rs600,000 already deposited in the first two installments.
