Ahead of Republic Day, Reliance Jio — one of India’s largest telecommunications companies —announced special benefits on its annual prepaid plans.
Customers can now get discount coupons for popular e-commerce sites, online fashion retailers, and food delivery applications if their recharge amount is INR 2,999.
It should be noted that the existing prepaid benefits — calling or data charging — would continue uninterrupted and the additional benefits are for a limited period.
According to the information on Jio’s website, customers could get discounts on Ajio, Tara and Ixigo by using the coupons. For instance, if a customer spends a minimum of INR 2.499 on Ajio they can get an INR 500 discount by using the Jio coupon.
Customers can get a 30% discount of up to INR 1,000 on Tira and up to INR 1,500 off on flight tickets if they are using Ixigo.
For food delivery services, Jio customers can get coupons worth INR 250 (split into two coupons of INR 125 each) on Swiggy — food-delivery service. Moreover, customers will get a 10% discount on a minimum purchase of INR 5,000 from Reliance Digital.
It should be noted that these offers are available till January 31.
Jio offers unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS per day alongside unlimited 5G data with the INR 2,999 plan. The plan is valid for 365 days and it also offers JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud access, although it does not include a JioCinema Premium subscription.
