While fans anxiously await the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6’s release, the gaming industry is hoping that Rockstar Games will set a new pricing standard for the game.

The upcoming title has generated immense hype, leading fans, developers, and publishers to speculate regarding the details.

GTA 6 price is $100 (expected)

In October last year, Rockstar Games sparked concerns when it announced the PC version of Red Dead Redemption would cost $49.99. This move led fans to wonder if the developer would hike the price of GTA 6. Currently, standard games typically cost around $70.

Now, a recent report by gaming industry analyst and Epyllion CEO Matthew Ball revealed that developers and publishers are anticipating GTA 6 to break the $100 price barrier.

According to Ball's report titled "State of Video Gaming in 2025," there is optimism in the industry that Take-Two Interactive will raise the price of GTA 6, given its expected massive commercial success.

GTA 6 release date (expected)

The GTA 6 will likely be released in the fall of 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as announced by Rockstar Games.

Notably, the only trailer of GTA 6 was released in December 2023, disclosing that the game will be set in a fictional Vice City, reminiscent of Miami, and will feature the first playable female character in the franchise.
