Helldiver 2, being a popular game, is causing a stir among players once again. This time, the development team has issued a caution regarding a mysterious “rogue item” called “Catalog Expansion’ found in the ship management store.

The Helldivers 2 community recently discovered a new entry in the Ship Module section of the Ship Management terminal: the Catalog Expansion upgrade. According to its description, this upgrade promises to add "new Stratagem permits" to the ship management terminal for purchase. However, players have not been able to purchase or notice any changes associated with this upgrade successfully.

The situation has left players puzzled, wondering whether the Catalog expansion is a remnant of cut content, a sign of an upcoming patch, a bug, or a deliberate teaser from the developers. In response to the confusion, Helldivers 2 community manager Baskinator addressed the issue on the game's official Discord, advising players to avoid the rogue item until further notice, as reported by Games Radar.

Baskinator emphasised that the Ministry of Truth, the fictional authority in the game, cannot confirm the reliability or safety of the Catalog Expansion item or its origin. While some players speculated on the consequences of ignoring the caution and interacting with the upgrade, Baskinator remained cryptic, leaving players to decide whether to act at their own risk.

The appearance of the Catalog Expansion upgrade has sparked curiosity and debate within the Helldivers 2 community, as players await further clarification from the development team regarding its purpose and potential impact on the game.
