As we approach the official launch of the iPhone 16 lineup, scheduled for Friday, September 20, excitement among Apple enthusiasts remains on a high note. However, the best part is that you can easily track your new iPhone's journey worldwide once shipping commences.

Unfortunately, Apple has delayed delivery dates for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, pushing expected delivery to the second week of October, between October 7 and October 14.

Track your iPhone 16 preorder

To check the order status, visit Apple’s official website where you will see your iPhone 16 model marked as “preparing to ship,” as the company usually waits until the official release date is near, to update the shipping status, even when the package is already in the shipping process.

Therefore, customers often use the United Parcel Service (UPS) website to track the progress of their orders, where there are two options available.

UPS “My Choice” feature

The first option is to enroll in the UPS “My Choice” platform as it automatically shows all packages including a new iPhone 16 coming to the shipping address.

However, as an alternative, one can also use the UPS “Track by Reference Number” option to locate their iPhone 16 order. The reference number is often the phone number listed on the Apple order or the order number without the last two digits.

Recently, UPS changed the “Track by Reference Number” feature to strengthen security, meaning one should consider the former option instead.

When you have found the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus or iPhone 16 Pro order in the UPS system, use the tracking number to follow it before the September 20 release date.

Notably, not all iPhones have been transferred to UPS yet, therefore, if you can’t find your order keep checking it further.
