The app cache stores widely accessed information as cache data on the local storage, which affects the loading times and the overall performance of the app. Similarly, the Facebook app’s cache can become bloated with old cache data, slowing down its loading time. At this point, users can employ a cleaning method to clear the cache.

If your Facebook feed experiences loading issues, clearing the cached data forces the app to fetch the latest content, improving performance. However, apart from these occasional issues, Facebook users are generally not required to frequently clear the cache.

Gadinsider has compiled a step-by-step guide to clearing Facebook cache on Android, iPhones, and browsers.
