Hume AI has recently unveiled the iOS app version of its EVI platform, featuring the advanced AI chatbot Kora and the Claude 3.5 Sonnet large language model (LLM) for robust chat functionality.
This AI chatbot generates voice responses in a clear and natural tone, avoiding the robotic sound typical of many AI systems. It is an emotional AI chatbot for iPhone, although it operates at a slower pace compared to ChatGPT-4.o.
The launch of Hume’s emotional AI chatbot app underscores the intensifying race to develop personalised AI assistants. The newly introduced Kora voice is distinct from Scarlett Johansson’s, ensuring it avoids the hype associated with the release of ChatGPT-4.o.

In addition to the iOS app, EVI is available as a commercial Application Programming Interface (API), providing a user-friendly platform for any company wishing to create its own chatbot.
According to Hume’s officials, the empathetic large language model (eLLM) is refined using Reinforcement Learning Human Expression. Synthesia has also utilised this technology for its extensive range of video avatars.
