The Indus Motor Company (IMC) Limited has closed its production plants for three days in the wake of supply chain disruptions.

The development regarding the closure was carried out in an official statement issued by IMC to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

“The company is currently experiencing a shortage of raw materials and components, compounded by ongoing supply chain disruptions. As a result, the company is facing challenges in sourcing the necessary parts for vehicle production, which has impacted its ability to meet production requirements,” said the company secretary.

It's worth mentioning that the suspension of operations is temporarily exercised from November 27 to November 29.

The adjournment in the automaker's operations comes over the heels of a recent shutdown it underwent from November 18 to 20.
