Leakers have uncovered the first Fortnite Crew Pack cosmetic set of 2026 after decrypting game files, revealing a winter-themed skin scheduled for January.
According to the leaks, the upcoming Crew Pack skin is called Gale and will become available on December 31 for active subscribers. The character features a frozen mask covering the face, paired with an ice-themed scarf, aligning with Fortnite’s ongoing winter aesthetic.
Reportedly, the Fortnite OG map is now being dominated by snow; the aesthetic fits in quite well with the winter theme.
Although Epic Games has not made any announcements on whether Gale has a connection to the current narrative in Fortnite, initial feedback from players indicates that the skin seems to go well with Chapter 7 Season 1 as well as winter events.
In contrast to some previous releases in January, like Durrr Taisho, Gale does not seem to be connected to any overall story within the game world, nor is it a part of a fictional brand.
The game’s subscription-based system is known as Fortnite Crew, allowing players to gain access to all active Battle Passes, 1,000 V-Bucks in a month, the Rocket League Pass, along with a cosmetic set.
For those who subscribe to the service, two cosmetic sets are given once they buy a subscription, whether for a month, a season, or a year, granted their subscription is active at the time of release.
Players who cancel their subscription before December 31 will be able to keep the Gale cosmetic set as long as their crew pack is active at 7pm ET. In addition, when these players come back as a re-subscriber, they will be given alternate versions of Gale and its items.
There has been no official announcement as of yet for the Fortnite Crew Pack that will be released for the month of January 2026, but the leaked artwork points to a winter-themed set drop for the start of the year.
