Jazz, one of Pakistan's renowned telecom service providers, has been recognised as one of the country’s top tax-compliant companies for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Pakistan’s leading digital operator's recognition as one of the biggest taxpayers comes in the midst of the revenue board falling short of attaining the desired tax collection mark in the fiscal year 2025.
The telecom giant was also bestowed with a special recognition shield by a delegation from the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Islamabad that visited Jazz’s headquarters on Tuesday.
The award underscores Jazz’s substantial contributions to the economy through transparent and consistent tax practices.
Zafar Iqbal Khan, the chief commissioner of the FBR's Inland Revenue, handed over the award to Jazz’s Chief Financial Officer Farrukh Khan in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
Khan called the moment a proud one for the company. “This recognition reflects our strong commitment to responsible business practices. As one of Pakistan’s top taxpayers, we aim to meet our obligations with honesty while continuing to deliver innovative digital solutions that support millions of Pakistanis and fuel socio-economic growth.”
Jazz’s FBR recognition not only celebrates its tax compliance but also highlights the significant role it's playing in shaping Pakistan’s digital future.
The company has invested over $11 billion in Pakistan's digital infrastructure and services since its inception, working to build a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable Pakistan.
