
Following the successful launch of the Kia EV5 in October 2024, Kia Lucky Motors is gearing up to introduce another electric SUV, the Kia EV9, in the Pakistani market.
Recently, the automobile company teased a major announcement, sparking curiosity among automotive fans.
Kia EV9 coming to Pakistan
“The foundation of luxury is taking its form; every detail tells a story, so stay tuned,” read a social media post shared by Kia Pakistan. Referring to the caption, industry sources suggested that the Kia EV9 is expected to make its debut soon in Pakistan.
Although the company has been tight-lipped about the launch date, price, and other specifics under wraps, a report on the internet provided a glimpse of the design, technology, and performance of the Kia EV9.
Kia EV9 features
The Kia EV9 features a bold exterior design, a sleek "Digital Tiger Face" grille, and narrow, sharp headlights. The SUV’s rear profile is characterised by a wide, horizontal light bar that enhances its visual impact.
Meanwhile, inside, the EV9 boasts a curved panoramic display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and advanced safety features such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
The Kia EV9 has a choice of powertrains, including a single-motor RWD setup and a dual-motor AWD system.
The Kia EV9 base RWD model boasts 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, with an estimated range of 230 miles.
However, the "Light Long Range" variant has a larger 99.8-kWh battery, delivering an impressive 304 miles of range on a single charge.
Kia EV9 GT variant
The Kia EV9 also comes in the GT variant, which is the most powerful version of the SUV. With two powerful motors, the EV9 GT can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.3 seconds.
