Kia on Thursday, teased exciting new concept vehicles that demonstrate the brand’s commitment to bold design and electric innovation ahead of the SEMA (Speciality Equipment Manufacturing Association) show in Las Vegas.
The two concepts previewed include an updated electric SUV called the “EV9” and a versatile modular van concept, both of which emphasise Kia’s move towards electric and practical vehicle solutions.
Kia EV9 car concept
The first teaser gives a new look at Kia's EV9, an all-electric SUV that brings adventure-readiness with rugged styling.
In the Kia EV9 concept, there are new additions such as a light bar above the windscreen, three distinct lights on the front, and bold front tow hooks, which are not part of the current production model.

These features show that the EV9 has been intended for off-road travel on irregular terrain; in short, a fresh step into the electric SUV's performance.
Kia PV5 car concept
The second concept appears to be a modular van based on the PV5, which was originally showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The van concept is unique, with the available rooftop light bar and lower fog lights, making it appear to be perfect for activities that are held outdoors. As such, it becomes ideal for those who require a practical yet adventurous automobile.
Under the concepts, Kia is emphasising that it is focusing on the development of flexible and functional "electric vehicles" to suit different lifestyles and driving needs. The SEMA show would give an overall reveal of both models, which would give better insight into Kia's upcoming direction for their electric lineup.
