In some sad news, Kim Kardashian has decided to stop her famous mobile game, "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," after embracing skyrocketing popularity in the virtual world for almost a decade.

The reality TV star shared this news in a message to The Post on January 3, explaining that she wants to focus on her "other passions."

"I'm so grateful from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has loved and played Kim Kardashian: Hollywood in the past 10 years," Kim said.

Kim mentioned that creating the game was very important to her, but now it's the right time to put that energy into her other interests.

Screengrabs making rounds on the internet can be seen displaying a timer, which is counting down to when it will be turned off.

The game featured the 43-year-old and her family members, Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Kim confirmed the game's closure in a statement seen by BBC Newsbeat, expressing that she'll always be inspired by the game's community.

The star from Keeping Up With The Kardashians collaborated with the mobile gaming developer Glu to launch the iconic title.

The game was free to play, but players could buy in-game money called K-stars to stand out in events, modelling, and dating.

Although the game has been removed from Apple and Android app stores, however, people who already have it can still play until April 8, 2024.

Describing the game as a model for "mobile games unapologetically tailored toward young women," a gaming site polygon placed Hollywood on the list of the 100 best games of the decade.
