In a pioneering effort to adopt digital technology, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced the development of an innovative smartphone app enabling users to track case hearings effortlessly.
According to recent updates, information regarding court proceedings will be accessible via the High Court’s official website and the mobile app. The implementation of this initiative started following Chief Justice Aaliya Neelum’s approval earlier this month.
Chief Justice has assigned the project to the Additional Registrar IT, Jamal Ahmed. Other courts across the country are expected to adopt similar technologies in the near future.
The mobile app will set up a new benchmark by tracking case hearings and is expected to offer numerous benefits. Users will gain access to real-time updates on case statuses from anywhere, eliminating the need for frequent visits to the court.
This app will not only enhance transparency in judicial proceedings but also streamline communication between courts, lawyers, and litigants. By saving time and reducing the costs associated with physical visits, the app will transform court interactions, especially in the underserved regions.
The mobile app will bridge the gap between technology and the legal system, ensuring that court information is readily available to all.
Currently, the LHC project is still under development, and the app is yet to be accessible for the public.
