X appears delisted from Mac App Store, but working fine on Macs

X (formerly Twitter) has reportedly been removed from the Mac App Store.

While the microblogging site hasn't confirmed the reason behind this sudden dislodge of the widely used social media platform, it might have been due to X's plans to delist the forsook app.

Fret not if you're a frequent X user as the X app on MacBook is working fine on devices with the X app already installed.

The development may sound absurd and annoying, but the unavailability of the X app on Macs has proved a never-ending rollercoaster long before it was acquired by the tech tycoon Elon Musk.

Besides the play of being and not being the X app has also undergone multiple rebuilds over the past few years.

Considering the app is functioning as it does anywhere else, it's an indication of X's unwillingness to break the app at the moment.

Musk also seem unbothered to get rid of his platform for Macs or bring it on par with his likes. This claim's validation can be taken from the fact that X hasn't been updated since Musk's takeover of the platform, allowing the pre-X UI to live on.
