
The Pakistani government has announced an increase in fuel prices, with petrol rising by Re1 per litre for the next pricing cycle starting February 1, 2025. This adjustment brings the new petrol rate to Rs257.13 per litre.
Additionally, high-speed diesel (HSD) has seen a Rs7 increase, pushing its price from Rs260.95 to Rs267.95 per litre, per a notification issued by the Finance Division.
The revised fuel prices will take effect from midnight on February 1 (today).
In the last pricing review, petrol prices had been raised by Rs0.56 per litre, setting the rate at Rs256.13 per litre.
"The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has determined the consumer fuel prices in response to fluctuations in international oil rates," the statement issued by the Finance Division read.

In Pakistan, fuel prices are reviewed every 15 days to align with global oil market trends and the Pakistani rupee exchange rate against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, the government increased liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices by Rs3.68 per kilogramme (kg) for both domestic and commercial consumers for the month of February, 2025.
