Meta upgraded its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses on Monday with a couple of artificial intelligence (AI) features it announced during its annual Connect conference in September.

Notably, Facebook's parent company rolled out these innovative AI features for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses exclusively for members who are part of its “Early Access Program.”

Additionally, the Ray-Ban smart glasses can now translate speech in real time between English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

According to Meta, when engaging with someone speaking one of those three languages, the Ray-Ban smart glasses will provide instant translation and users will be able to hear the translated conversation in English through the glasses' open-ear speakers or view it as a transcript on their phone.

Furthermore, Meta has added Shazam, an app that allows users to identify songs, to the smart glasses. The feature will be available in the US and Canada.
