Ahead of the launch of Motorola Edge 50 Neo in India, the company has announced that it will be its first Motorola flagship to get major Android updates.

While tech giants such as Samsung and Google have increased the number of years of software updates they provide on their Android phones for users, this has never been the case for Motorola.

Five years update on Motorola Edge 50 Neo

Motorola’s latest Android phone Edge 50 Neo flagship is expected to come with five years of OS upgrades and security patches, marking a significant increase. Notably, this upgrade will still be less than the seven years of software updates bestowed by Samsung and Google.

Nevertheless, it emerged as a remarkable development for Motorola customers eager to purchase a midrange phone as the company’s older flagships, including the Motorola Edge 2024 and Motorola Razr Plus 2024, come with four years of security patches and three years of Android OS updates.
