The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially announced the launch of the “NADRA minority registration drive 2025.”
The authority revealed that this nationwide campaign aims to “empower Pakistan’s minority communities by ensuring their access to essential identity documentation.”
It is worth noting that the minority registration drive is scheduled from August 4 to August 11, 2025, as the initiative coincides with National Minorities Day.
The campaign is a bold step toward bridging the gap between minority communities and essential civic services like education, healthcare, and voting rights.
In a significant move to eliminate hurdles in documentation, NADRA is deploying Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) to remote and underserved areas.
These mobile units will help with on-site CNIC issuance and renewal, making the process convenient for those who cannot easily access urban registration centres.
NADRA spokesperson stated: “NADRA believes every Pakistani—regardless of religion or background—deserves the same rights as any other citizen.”
This powerful message showcases the institution’s commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity in line with Pakistan’s constitution.
By ensuring identity verification for minorities, this campaign supports their right to representation and access to all public services. Moreover, it reinforces the state’s stance on unity and diversity, strengthening the social fabric of the country.
