The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Wednesday urged citizens to collect their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) after issuance within the given time.
In accordance with policy, the authority stated that CNICs that remain uncollected are disposed of after three months, then applicants are required to reapply and pay the prescribed fee to have the card reissued.
"Citizens are advised to collect their CNICs from the Nadra centre as soon as the processing period is completed to avoid inconvenience," said Nadra.
Earlier on Tuesday, Nadra issued an alert for all married citizens, advising them to update their marital status in official records at the earliest opportunity to prevent any legal complications.
Such individuals — who are seeking to update their details — are advised to promptly visit their nearest Nadra centre to have their marital status updated correctly without any misinformation or errors.
