The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has updated the fees for national and Smart ID Cards throughout Pakistan, effective October 2025, as part of its commitment to enhance identity services and make them more accessible.

The revision allows applicants to select from three options with respect to processing their ID cards, which are normal, urgent, and executive.

For the normal national ID card, the new fee is Rs400 with a processing time of 15 days; an urgent card will cost Rs1,150 with a 12-day delivery; and an executive card costs Rs2,150 and is delivered in 6 days.

For Smart ID cards, the fees and processing times are as follows: the normal option has a fee of Rs750 and processing of 31 days; the urgent Smart ID is Rs1,500 for processing in 15 days; and the executive Smart ID is Rs2,500 and will be delivered in 9 days.

A Nadra spokesman said, “We want to improve the availability of our services and give citizens the ability to choose the processing time, while also providing them processing options at a range of costs. The executive service will still be the quickest way to receive their ID card as a last option.”
