As a token of commemoration of Pakistan's 78th Independence Day and the 75th anniversary of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), the bank has become the first to introduce the NBP Amirah PayPak Pink Debit Card.
The NBP Amirah PayPak Pink Debit Card comes as the country's first PayPak debit card designed solely for women holding an Aitemad Islamic Amirah account.
"NBP Aitemaad proudly presents the first-ever NBP Amirah PayPak Pink Debit Card. This is more than a card—it's a statement of empowerment, elegance, and security," the bank stated in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).
In light of the benefits detailed in the NBP's X post, the NBP Amirah PayPak Debit Card extends the following benefits exclusively to women:
- No issuance or annual fee
- Shopping discounts
- Insurance coverage
- Reward points convertible to gold mutual funds
The card has been introduced to enhance convenience, security, and financial independence for women. Under this initiative, women will be offered special discounts and Takaful protection tailored for them.
At the launch event, NBP CEO and President Rehmat Ali Hasnie emphasised the bank's commitment to empowering women through innovative products. “By offering the PayPak Pink card, we are encouraging women to engage more confidently in Pakistan’s financial system,” he stated.
Using the new NBP Pink Debit Card, women across Pakistan will be able to leverage numerous advantages, including exclusive discounts at over 30,000 merchants across 158 cities, not to mention a free Gold subscription to the Golootlo App.
NBP Pink Debit Card holders will also earn reward points on transactions and receive comprehensive Takaful protection, which underscores NBP’s dedication to financially empowering women.
