Nintendo is going to end the summer with a big bang! The gaming company announced not one but two game showcases, both happening one after the other, on Thursday, August 28.
The first one is the Indie World Showcase, which features lots of new indie games. This would be followed directly by the Partner Direct program, with games from Nintendo's partners. Both would be packed into 40 minutes, so buckle up, gamers.
Nintendo has already made some very big announcements this summer, such as a new Mario & Luigi game. A new Legend of Zelda and the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 could be finally coming.

Although not as showy and pompous in their announcement as the rest, fans would like to believe that these showings hold a surprise in store for them. Maybe that finally means more on Hollow Knight: Silksong, one of the most awaited indie games.
The company reminded the gamets that there won't be any mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during these presentations. The new console is reportedly launching in Q1 2025, and Nintendo promised to reveal it before April 2025.
What to expect?
The Nintendo Indie World Showcase is known to bring out really varied innovative games. Maybe the Partner Direct showcases games from popular franchises or new Internet Protocols (IPs).
