Resident Evil Survival Unit launch
Resident Evil Survival Unit is set to launch on iOS and Android devices, and it'll be available in North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Asia from July 10, 2025.
Resident Evil Survival Unit is that the co-creator of the Kingdom Hearts games, Shinji Hashimoto, is behind the game. He even announced the project during the Anime Expo Lite livestream, where he expressed that it’s a project he's been working on bringing to light for some time.
Hashimoto stated: “The title offers a fresh take on the 'Resident Evil' universe,” and "introducing a strategy game system designed specifically for mobile users. While distinct from Capcom's traditional 'Resident Evil' series, it delivers a unique experience that stays true to the essence of the franchise."
What to expect from Resident Evil Survival Unit?
The developers’ companies aim to bring an experience that new and old players can enjoy by adapting the elements of the franchise and adding their spin to Resident Evil Survival Unit as a real-time strategy mobile game.
The game will reportedly include guiding STARS commando teams through dangerous environments, probably while managing resources and making quick tactical decisions.
This results in players being able to play as one character, and control a unit of survivors, possibly familiar faces from earlier games, and try to keep them alive.
