Nothing is working on a major update “Nothing OS 3.0” based on Android 15. The upcoming update promises to include several new upgrades as hinted in a leak.

The British tech manufacturer is set to bring enhancements to the smartphone’s camera, security systems, and interface, according to the leaked version reported by SmartPrix

This pre-release version of the update was spotted on the Nothing Phone 2a and is expected to bring a more enhanced version compared to the existing Nothing OS 2.5 firmware.

What to expect from Nothing OS 3.0

Control Centre on Nothing OS

The update includes several features including a more enhanced Control Centre which upon the first swap will reveal Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles while a further swipe will show a Mute option including three choices such as Mute, Vibrate, and Sound.

However, users can swipe left to find additional customisable quick toggles, which will be accessible by tapping a pencil icon.

Nothing OS' redesigned lock screen clock

Another feature could be a newly designed lock screen clock, with options for personalising the screen. However, if a user is not satisfied with the customisations, he can reset the lock screen back to the original Nothing layout.

Nothing OS' Charging Assistant

The upcoming update might also introduce a Charging Assistant which will allow users to access more options to manage the phone’s battery through custom charging modes and also aims to enhance overall battery health.

Furthermore, the update also includes a new “Inter” font, which could replace the current Dot Matrix for app titles.
