Since the OnePlus 12 has amassed a significant portion of the market — only through the reports of its impending release — in the sphere of high-end smartphones, users have now begun anticipating its release.
But besides the reports of its global launch, emerging on the surface are some rumours too, hinting that the most configured model of the phone might not launch globally, and may be exclusive to China only, similar to the current status of the base variant’s availability.
What hands these rumours veracity is that they’re being spoken up by some of the most credible and renowned tipsters in the industry.

One such claim has been made by a prolific tipster @ishanagarwal24, who, in a post on his official account on X (formerly Twitter), has claimed that the variants slated to launch globally include one with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM and the other with 16GB RAM and 512GB ROM.
If the claim is slightly close to the truth, then it’s certain that the top-notch model of the OnePlus 12 series will be exclusive to China.
Many other reports and claims by popular speculators are surely disheartening to the power users who have long awaited the release of the mega-offering model of the series.
But since no officially concrete info has come out from the company, there’s still some air of possibility of the opposite, that the device might make its way to the store shelves globally.
We're expecting both the OnePlus 12 and the cheaper OnePlus 12R to be launched globally on January 23, 2024, at which point we should get all the details about the spec options and the regional pricing for these handsets.
