OpenAI’s Strawberry model
Currently, ChatGPT offers a free tier, while the ChatGPT Plus plan costs $20/month subscription providing access to more enhanced features. However, with models like Strawberry, the AI company is planning a better way to monetise its service.
With new premium subscription tiers it aims to target professionals and businesses that require the use of artificial intelligence capabilities on more complicated tasks such as research and in-depth reasoning.
Moreover, the company’s decision to consider pricier subscriptions also aligns with the increasing competition in the AI market.
With Microsoft, Google and even Apple potentially advancing their AI capabilities, Open AI aims to maintain its position by offering more advanced AI tools.
Additionally, OpenAI is reportedly seeking investments from companies such as Apple and Nvidia that might help to take the company's worth beyond $100 billion.
