OpenAI, the developer behind ChatGPT maker, has announced the modification of the custom versions of its GPT-4o.
If the announcement gets executed, the latest large-language model (LLM) of ChatGPT will be tailored to best suit a diversity of developers' needs and requirements to serve individual and enterprise-level purposes.
Fine-tuning delivers substantial enhancements with even insignificant datasets, no matter if it's about tone adjustment, queries' responses, or accuracy improvement in technical tasks.

Users who are willing to fine-tune their experience with the custom versions of GPT-4o can click “create,” and select gpt-4o-2024-08-06 from the base model dropdown menu.
The development comes a month after OpenAI brought fine-tuning to the smaller, faster, cheaper variant, GPT-4o mini for developers. However, the mini version of GPT-4o is less powerful than the standard GPT-4o.
“From coding to creative writing, fine-tuning can have a large impact on model performance across a variety of domains. This is just the start—we’ll continue to invest in expanding our model customisation options for developers,” stated OpenAI technical staff members in a blog post on OpenAI's official website.
GPT-4o free tokens valid till September 23
To observe the release of the new GPT-4o feature, OpenAI is offering up to 1 million free tokens per day, which ordinary users or developers can use to fine-tune GPT-4o for their customers. The free tokens on GPT-4o are available till September 23, 2024.
For the uninitiated ones, tokens are numerical representations of letter combinations, numbers, and words that convey inherent concepts learned by an LLM or LMM.
