Much to the excitement of smartphone lovers, Oppo has officially unveiled the Oppo A5 Pro smartphone worldwide months after its initial release in China in December 2024.
The Oppo A5 Pro global variant has a different and downgraded chipset, display specifications, and durability features compared to the Chinese counterpart.
Oppo A5 Pro specifications
The Oppo A5 Pro global variant features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD, noting a slight kickback from the 6.7-inch AMOLED offered on the Chinese model.
The handset offers a lower 1604 x 720p resolution despite retaining a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nit peak brightness.
The global variant has switched from the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset to the Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage (expandable to 1TB via microSD).
The Oppo A5 Pro has also seen a notable downgrade in battery specs. The handset has a 5,800mAh battery with 5W wired charging support. The Chinese variant boasts a massive 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging support.
Under the camera belt, the device has the same features as the Chinese variant. It features a dual rear setup comprising a 50MP main and 2MP depth sensor. The handset features an 8MP front camera.
The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is available in Flower Pink and Mocha Brown colourways.
