Pakistan’s first legal advisory chatbot, NAZ Assist, can now be accessed at your fingertips. Developed by The Legal Aid Society (LAS), NAZ Assist offers free legal guidance in four languages-English, Urdu, Sindhi, and Pashto.
How does NAZ Assist work?
NAZ Assist is correlated with the analysis of more than 450,000 logged calls for legal advice since 2014 and hence pertains to the legal scenario of Pakistan.
The user interface of the chatbot is accessible on the website of LAS. One important feature of the tool is that the user can get advice verified through a free call back from a lawyer or by calling the Helpline of the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Centre (SLACC).
LAS CEO Barrister Haya Eman Zahid said NAZ Assist is comprehensive in its approach: "Differently-abled persons can now avail preliminary legal advice by the click of a button." This platform also caters to the future generation, who are fond of texting rather than dialling a call.

Recognising artificial intelligence (AI) limitations, NAZ Assist enables users to verify advice through human lawyers. Users can request a free callback or contact the helpline.
LAS works with programs for women suffering under gender-based violence, property inheritance disputes, and forced-converted minority girls free services.
How to access NAZ Assist?
