Pakistan Railways has introduced a new railcar between Lahore and Rawalpindi, a move aimed at facilitating residents who frequently travel intercity.

The newly renovated railcar has been specially designed to handle difficult routes with improved seating, food and drink options, first aid kits, and improved cleaning services.

As per Pakistan Railway CEO Aamir Ali Baloch, "Pakistan Railways is working to upgrade more trains with modern facilities, focusing on food services, hygiene, and medical care to ensure a pleasant experience for passengers."

He underlined that train travel is still among the most economical and secure modes of transportation available in the country.

"Making sure every passenger gets to their destination safely and on time is our top priority," Baloch added.

In order to improve train speed and overall service quality, international funding is being used to upgrade railway tracks and maintain locomotives and tracks.

The Lahore-Rawalpindi route is a key connection between two major cities, and this upgrade aims to provide a better experience for daily passengers.
