Pakistan Railways on Saturday launched a special tourist train service, named 'Karachi-Thar Desert train', to focus on promoting domestic tourism and showcasing the cultural beauty of Sindh.

The Pakistan Railways officials said that the train will depart from Karachi Cantonment Station at 9am on December 20. The journey will take travellers through scenic towns and railway routes, with a stop at Chhor, before continuing towards the Zero Point near the Pakistan-India border.

The railway authority has arranged camping facilities, along with a bonfire, music, and dinner, giving travellers a journey of full enjoyment, seeing the cultural charm of the Thar region under the desert sky.

Meanwhile, if any passenger seeking additional comfort, guest house accommodation will also be available for an extra fee. Officials noted that these facilities are designed to cater to different preferences to ensure safety and give comfortable experience throughout the journey.
