The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Planning and Development (P&D) Department is introducing electric rickshaws (e-rickshaws) as part of its initiative to promote clean transport in Peshawar.

The meeting, chaired by P&D Secretary Adeel Shah, examined the status of the e-rickshaw project and planned the next steps to ensure a seamless rollout.

The committee members and other interested parties talked about various aspects of the project for a long time.

They discussed the positive effects of the project, such as reduced air pollution and a more environmentally friendly mode of transportation for city dwellers.

They also talked about what needs to be fixed, like improving the infrastructure, and they worked on completing a comprehensive plan for the project's execution.

The addition of e-rickshaws, officials noted, will provide Peshawar residents with a sustainable, effective, and clean mode of transportation.

The project aims to reduce air pollution and promote environmentally friendly urban mobility. Officials from the Transport Department, the P&D Department, and other relevant government agencies attended the meeting.
