Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has dismissed reports suggesting changes to its logo and aircraft design. However, a PIA spokesperson confirmed that the airline has no plans to modify its long-standing branding or the design of its planes.
The spokesperson clarified that the national carrier’s logo and tail flag remain unchanged. Any decision regarding branding or aircraft design requires approval from the board and relevant ministries.
The statement also assured that there have been no changes to the overall design of PIA’s aircraft, countering recent rumours.
Moreover, in a separate development, Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat has been reappointed as the acting CEO of PIA.
This decision was confirmed through a government notification following a recommendation from the PIA Board of Directors. Hayat will hold the position until a permanent CEO is appointed.
He has replaced Khurram Mushtaq, who had been serving as acting CEO temporarily. The airline management has expressed confidence in Hayat’s leadership, highlighting his experience and ability to guide PIA during this transitional phase.
Furthermore, the clarification about the PIA logo and aircraft design and the reappointment of Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat as acting CEO comes as part of the airline's ongoing efforts to address public concerns and ensure transparency in its operations.
Passengers and stakeholders are encouraged to rely on official statements from PIA to avoid misinformation.
