Sadly, we're still two weeks from the debut of the next Google Pixel lineup, the Google Pixel 9 series, but fortunately, insights into the key camera capabilities of the handset have emerged, just like we witnessed for the remaining areas.

Earlier Pixel 9 Pro leaks have already provided a detailed look into the camera specifications and some AI features, suggesting that the device will support 8K resolution for videos.

Building on this photographic leap, the latest leak divulges that Google will be utilising Video Boost to ensure tuned 8K footage.

Although handling 8K footage is well overseen by the 50MP Samsung GNK which debuted on last year's smartphones, it appears that Google is in no mood to let you do it with 50MP lens on the Pixel 9 Pro.

As reported by 9to5Google, “8K video recording will be powered by Video Boost.”

Once rolled out, this feat will entirely be attained on the cloud, requiring users to upload footage and process it. This process turns the footage into a Night Sight Video complimented by other enhancements.

This shows that Google could be using artificial intelligence for the conversion of 4K footage into 8K. However, it is yet to be seen whether the inclusion of this AI-backed workaround comes as a fundamental preference or not.

Moreover, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and 9 Pro XL are also expected to sport Zoom Enhance.
