The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has officially announced a special Ramadan electricity schedule to facilitate consumers during the holy month.
LESCO CEO Ramzan Butt, during a press conference, said special arrangements are made to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehri and Iftari, which will provide relief to residents during Ramadan by ensuring a stable power supply at times of peak household demand.
He assured consumers that no load-shedding would take place during the critical hours of Sehri and Iftari. He noted that load-shedding during the summer season is often linked to electricity theft and increased line losses.
Moreover, he said that LESCO had already successfully maintained uninterrupted electricity supply during Basant and similar arrangements have now been implemented for Ramadan to facilitate Pakistanis observing the fast.
Earlier, LESCO said customers can easily pay electricity bill straight through their mobile banking apps by scanning the QR code on their bills.
