Samsung has started rolling out the new Android 15-based One UI 7 update for its budget-friendly Galaxy A05s smartphone.

Launched in September 2023 with Android 13, this entry-level phone is now receiving its biggest software upgrade yet, bringing it up to speed with some of the latest Samsung devices.

The new firmware, carrying the build number A057FXXU9DYE5, was first released in Thailand and Vietnam. The update is expected to arrive in Pakistan within a few days, continuing Samsung’s push to provide regular software support, even for its cheapest phones.

Moreover, the One UI 7 update is about 2.6GB in size and also includes the May 2025 security patch, improving the phone’s privacy and overall performance.

Some of the key features in One UI 7 include updated icons, smoother animations, and a new look for Samsung’s native apps. The update also brings small design changes like the new volume bar placement and a separated notification panel.

Users can now swipe from the top-right corner for quick settings and from the top-left for notifications. A vertical app drawer is also being introduced for easier navigation.

To check if the update is available on your Galaxy A05s, go to Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates. If available, simply tap Download and Install.
