The smartphone make made this announcement on Friday last week, vowing that Circle to Search and Chat Assist will be instilled on Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Similar to what we saw on the company's website at the launch of Galaxy S24 lineup, the aforementioned Galaxy AI features will be offered "for free until the end of 2025," as per a footnote entailed in the announcement.
These Samsung AI features are so far exclusive to specific Samsung and Google smartphones as they have not undergone a wider rollout, encompassing all the smartphones by any company.
How does Circle to Search work?
To access the Circle to Search feature, users can long press the pill-shaped navigation button to activate an overlay that allows to draw around, scribble, or highlight a specific part of screen to Google about the specified contents without leaving the app they happen to be using at that time.
Chat Assist on Samsung phones
Chat Assist, the second Samsung AI feature to be instilled inside the latest One UI update for the three Samsung models, will ensure hassle-free composition of texts in a range of different languages for seamless translation of incoming or outgoing messages.
Samsung says Chat Assist is also developed to work in conjunction of other third-party apps to negate the use of a separate translation app when translation of messages is needed.
