As the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 is around the corner wherein Samsung is going to make the show of the Galaxy S24 series, a tremendous thread of leaks has surfaced, hinting at some unique and unprecedented features besides the fulfilment of an update promise.

Leaks reported by Android Headlines outline that Samsung is going to retrace the marks left by Google, hinting at Samsung's inclination to support 7 years of Android updates in the Galaxy S24 series, something that Google extended as part of the update strategy it adopted for Pixel 8.

It indicated that with the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra, users will get updates for 7 years.

Leaks have also suggested that with this approach, the South Korean tech giant will not only offer security updates but also some new features and updates for the OS version of Android.

Currently, the company only offers only 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security patches inside its recently launched flagship handsets.

Besides this amazing expansive updates strategy, a series of images shared by Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter) suggested a spate of new AI-focused features coming to the Galaxy S24 series. The post was taken down by the platform shortly after being shared.

These features include the recently-announced “Live Translate” for phone calls, the use of AI to improve zoom at night, as well as an AI-powered “Note Assist” feature in Samsung’s Notes app.

It was also highlighted in the leaks that Samsung will not charge a fee for all the mentioned AI features until at least 2025 on supported Galaxy devices. However, the company might start charging for some advanced AI features.
