
Samsung is reported to launch its new S25 series — Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra as part of the purported Galaxy S25 series at the start of next year.
Users have noticed various rumours regarding the chipset claimed to be powered in the upcoming Galaxy S25 family. Recently, the US variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked on the Geekbench benchmarking site with a Snapdragon chipset.
Earlier, the South Korean tech giant was rumoured to equip Exynos chipsets for the entire Galaxy S25 lineup in all markets.
A Samsung smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench with the model number SM-S938U. This listing is expected to be the Galaxy S25 Ultra, similar to the predecessor Galaxy S24 Ultra, with SM-S928U model number.
The 'U' in the model number suggests the device is designated to the US region.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra receives impressive scores in multi-core testing
The Geekbench listing displays 3,069 points in single-core testing and 9,080 points in multi-core testing. According to the listing, the reported Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be equipped with 10.54GB of RAM, which means it could sport 12GB of memory.
Moreover, the listing indicated that an octa-core chipset with the codename 'Sun' will power the phone. This codename is related to the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. It displayed two Prime CPU cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.19GHz and six cores capped at 2.90GHz.

It is important to note that the maximum frequency is lower than that of the reported Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is claimed to have a peak clock speed of 4.32GHz for performance and 3.53GHz for efficiency cores.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra variant is claimed to run on Android 15. The entry was uploaded to the website on September 24.
Samsung was anticipated to equip the Exynos 2500 chipsets in the Galaxy S25 lineup earlier. Later users heard that the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will all utilise the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 worldwide.
Samsung followed a dual-chip strategy for this year's vanilla Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. They feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in the US, they are equipped with Samsung's in-house Exynos 2400 in most other markets, including India.
