Apple is getting ready to release iOS 26 on Monday, June 9, during its WWDC 2025 keynote address, and the first developer beta will probably be released that day too.

As part of its annual software rollout, Apple will release iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and other major announcements as well.

Apple WWDC 2025

This year’s focus is on something called Apple Intelligence, which will incorporate smarter features and new design changes on iPhones and other Apple devices.

Likely, developers in Apple’s programme will be able to download the iOS 26 beta shortly after the WWDC keynote ends, and this is typically how Apple has rolled out betas in past years, so it should not change this year.

Although, as a note, the first iOS 26 beta will likely not have all of the features that are shown on stage. Apple usually pushes out some tools in later beta updates, and sometimes those features make their way into official release versions like iOS 26.1 or 26.2.

Users should keep in mind that using the beta software may include early bugs, performance issues, or missing features altogether, and Apple recommends that you do not install beta software on your primary device.

The iOS 26 public beta will come sometime later. These versions are usually more stable but still meant for testing.
