Many iPhone 14 Pro Max users in Pakistan have been unable to register their phones with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) due to high taxes. PTA registration is necessary to use SIM services in Pakistan.

However, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) taxes for iPhone models, especially premium ones like the 14 Pro Max, often cross six figures, making it difficult for many to pay at once.

Excitingly, there’s a big relief for iPhone 14 Pro Max users. Alfa Mall, an online platform by Bank Alfalah, is offering the option to pay PTA tax in easy, interest-free instalments. This is a major development for Apple users in Pakistan who have been waiting for a more affordable solution.

iPhone 14 Pro Max instalment plans

  • 3-month plan: Rs47,866/month
  • 6-month plan: Rs23,933/month

It’s worth mentioning that although this plan is non-interest-bearing, Bank Alfalah charges a processing fee of 5% and is only for Bank Alfalah credit cardholders.

To use this plan, users can simply go to Alfa Mall’s website or app, pick the iPhone model they would like PTA approved, and pick a repayment plan, which is suitable for them. The PTA approval will happen after the order is confirmed.
